Thanks for stopping by and commenting, you two.

I think a post needs to stand on its own, AND have an open door for comments.

As I get more practice blogging, I am less worried about ending with questions that don't always get picked up by readers. I feel a bit like I'm throwing desert out into the ether when I end with questions, but it's a risk a lover of sharing communication-desert has to take, and I do enjoy asking the questions.

I've found when I write a blog post I do so with the intent of it standing on it's own. I like how you posed questions at the end of this post, a very good way to initiate interaction. Something I need to do and a lot of people don't try I would guess. Great post!

1. It depends on the primary aim of the post apart from adding content to my site. Is it to get links, start a convo, connect with my community or to sell me? I sort of lay down my thoughts and invite responses - perhaps if you knew you had a bigger community reading your blog, you would engage them more with questions, like Shoemoney does.

2.Don't know
3. I switch from day to day. I want to write everything down I know and share it, and get pointers for improvement - anything. Other times I want to invite others on to the blog to get if they think like I do.
4.For me it's exploring a question. Thats my favourite I think.
5.My blogs not mature enough for that! I have witnessed 1 or 2 discussions explode on my site and felt very proud I provided the soapbox.
